(3-19-09) Over 20,000 participants and volunteers came together on Sunday, March 15 in downtown Portland to celebrate St. Patrick's Day (albeit early) at this year's Shamrock Run. This spring tradition provided rain, smiles, throngs of runners, beer and clam chowder - a true rite of passage in the Northwest marking the opening of the running season.
